Jennifer Esser is an oil painter whose work employs a distinct abstract language through highly animated brushstrokes, lines, arcs, and patterns. Each composition features layers of time and stories, the real and surreal, and reflections on personal experience and world events. Jennifer's work offers a strong underlying theme of structure or seeking shelter (or beauty) from the chaos surrounding us.

Jennifer was formally educated as a landscape architect, and has had a committed art practice for over four decades. She has exhibited widely in South Florida and Virginia, and now works in a light-filled studio in Charlottesville, Virginia.
